Senior Recruitment Consultant – AI & Data (Perm)

Senior Recruitment Consultant – AI & Data (Perm) | £45,000 – £65,000 + up to 35% commission | London | 2 days in the office | US Market

Imagine billing £40k on a perm deal. Now imagine having AI doing half the boring stuff for you.

If you're already recruiting into the US from the UK, you'll know the money can be considerably better than working a UK desk.

But you'll also know that finding new clients, sourcing candidates, chasing contact details and keeping the CRM updated can take up a ridiculous amount of your day.

What if you could get most of that time back?

I've got a client that's spent a lot of money building its own AI technology to do exactly that.

And it's not just another recruitment company telling you they're 'AI-powered' because everyone has a ChatGPT subscription.

They've actually built AI agents that find businesses that are hiring, contact decision-makers and book meetings directly into consultants' diaries.

On average, that's bringing each consultant one new client a month. Without them having to do the usual hours of prospecting.

They're now introducing another AI agent for every consultant, which will source candidates, find their contact details and send personalised messages through email and LinkedIn.

And within weeks, even your call notes and CRM updates should largely take care of themselves.

So what does that mean for you?

Well, firstly, you can spend more of your day doing the things that actually make you money.

Speaking to people, winning business and closing deals.

Secondly, you'll be recruiting into the New York AI and data market, working with startups from Seed through to Series C funding.

Salaries are regularly $200k+, meaning a fairly ordinary placement can generate a £40k fee.

So if you're billing well already, there's a fairly obvious financial reason to consider moving.

There's also the opportunity to move to the US yourself after a year or two, if that's something you'd like to do.

You'd be joining an established international recruitment business with offices in London and the US. It's growing quickly and happens to be one of the highest-rated recruitment businesses on Glassdoor.

You'll only need to be in the Central London office twice a week. The office is open all week if you'd rather go in more often.

The main compromise is the hours. You'll be working roughly 10:30am to 9:30pm UK time to suit the East Coast market.

If you're already recruiting into the US, that probably won't come as much of a surprise.

What you'll need:

At least two years' experience in recruitment, with a good record of perm billings.
Experience recruiting into the US market from the UK. This one's essential.
A reasonably stable career history, ideally with some progression.
To enjoy business development, selling and speaking to people.
To be comfortable working East Coast hours.
An interest in AI and how it can make recruitment easier.

What you'll get:

£45,000–£65,000 basic salary.
Uncapped quarterly commission up to 35%, with no thresholds or draws.
Typical earnings of at least twice your basic salary.
Two days a week in the London office.
AI agents to help with business development, candidate sourcing and admin.
The chance to transfer to the US office after 1–2 years.

You don't need to be desperate to leave your current company. But if you're already doing well recruiting into the US, it's worth finding out what you could earn with bigger fees and considerably less time spent on the boring bits.
