Senior Recruitment Consultant - Tech

SENIOR REC CONSULTANT | LEEDS/HYBRID/REMOTE | £30,000 - £40,000

What if your desk didn’t rely on you hammering the phones… because the work was already coming in?

What if you could focus on actually recruiting - speaking to good people, building real relationships, and doing deals properly - instead of chasing ghosts and padding activity metrics?

That’s what these guys have built.

And now they’re hiring recruiter number three.

So… what’s the role?

You’ll be joining a small, growing tech recruitment business that already works.

Not “we’ve got a plan” working.

Actually working.

Inbound leads from marketing campaigns, an app, even things like sending out creative mailers (one £400 campaign landed 25 meetings). A dinosaur video won them a major client.

You’ll pick up live roles, manage clients, and - importantly - still have the space to build your own desk.

This isn’t a plug-and-play resourcing role.

And it’s not a sink-or-swim BD grind either.

It’s somewhere much more balanced.

Who fits here?

You’ve probably got 2–5 years in IT recruitment, so you understand process, structure, and how to run a desk properly.

But…

You’ve also realised that some of that world is a bit… robotic.

And you’re ready to do it differently.

You’re:

Comfortable doing BD, but not a “smile and dial” machine
Able to win business - not just inherit and maintain it
Someone clients trust to just get on with it (even remotely)
Normal. Low ego. No drama.

If your idea of “culture” isn’t late nights and questionable decisions in Revs toilets… you’ll probably like it here.

The desk works:

Inbound-heavy - marketing actually generates business
86% fill rate
Typically 3–4 CVs per role
2–3 placements per month

It’s flexible:

Work where and when you want (within reason)
No one tracking your screen time
Small Wakefield office if you like being around people

It’s influential:

You’re hire #3
You’ll shape tools, benefits, and direction
Potential to build your own vertical (or even a team)

And it pays properly:

£30–£40k base
20%+ commission over a sensible threshold
Open to 35–40% once you’re billing £200k+

Let’s not overcomplicate it.

Send a CV.

Drop a message.

Or just have a chat.

No pressure. No performance.

Because the best moves usually start with a normal conversation - not a scripted pitch.
